What this is. Sketchy Exes is Miss Terry Meat Sees All — you send in a written description of a crappy ex, Miss Terry Meat draws them and writes them a “curse,” and the finished piece goes up in the public Burn Book. You don't need an account to submit, and we don't make one for you.
Whose words are whose.
- The description you send in is your own opinion and commentary about your own past relationship. It isn't a verified statement of fact, and it wasn't written, seen, or approved by the person you're describing.
- The drawing and the curse are Miss Terry Meat's — satire and exaggerated comedy, not a factual claim about any real person.
- Nothing on this site is fact-checked, and nothing here is posted by, or with the blessing of, the person being described.
What we collect.
This is literally everything the site stores about a submission:
- The description text you write — required, and shown publicly in the Burn Book.
- A display name, only if you choose to type one. It's optional; leave it blank and it shows as “Anonymous.” Whatever you enter appears publicly as “[that name]'s Ex.”
- The date you submitted, shown publicly as the post date.
- An anonymous per-browser tag created in your own browser and used only to slow down spam and rapid re-posting. It isn't shown anywhere, isn't a login, and isn't linked to your identity.
That's the whole list. We don't ask for or store your email, a password, your location, or the real identity of anyone. The drawing on an entry is made by Miss Terry Meat — it is not something you upload.
Where it's kept.
The site is hosted on Vercel and its data and backend run on Convex; your submission and Miss Terry Meat's drawing are stored on Convex's infrastructure and the site is served through Vercel. These are third-party service providers we use to run the site. As with any website, the services that deliver these pages necessarily handle basic connection data such as IP addresses to serve traffic and blunt abuse — the site's own code does not store your IP address alongside your submission.
How long it stays.
Entries stay in the Burn Book until they're removed. There's no automatic expiry — an entry comes down when someone asks and Miss Terry Meat takes it down.
If that's you in there.
If you recognize yourself in an entry and want it gone, you don't have to argue, prove who you are, or explain yourself. Just point us at the entry and we'll remove it:
- Find the entry in the Burn Book.
- Click Request removal on that entry and confirm.
- That's it — the button tags the exact entry for us automatically, so you never have to describe it, prove who you are, or leave any contact details.
We'll take it down as fast as we can once we get the request. Removing an entry deletes its description, Miss Terry Meat's drawing, and the curse.
